Christian bible literalists, if Eve had not eaten the fruit...?

and God had not punished humankind with death, would humans not have procreated? For if humans did not die but did have children, eventually there would be a population problem much, much worse than there is now. So do you think God never intended humans to live forever on earth or to never procreate or was he going to expand the earth or put us on different planets or.... what?

(Non-literalists and fellow nonbelievers are free to answer, of course, but I believe as many of you do regarding the non-literalness of the bible and am really just curious as to what the literalists will say.)

It very well may be that the reason the universe is so vast is intended population.

We'll never know but it is not beyond the realm of possibility.

All of that is changed now.

Also, if we do have free choice how could we have free choice still, if we lived in the Garden of Eden ? My point is that evidence for God's existence would be more prevalent so we'd know that God existed so there'd be no choice. Kind of hazy on this but it's the beginning of perhaps yet another chink in theism's armor. That armor has so many chinks in it, they might as well be going into battle naked.----without death and without suffering in child birth, the world would probably have a population in the quadrillions by now. Not to mention the rabbit and insect populations without them dying. The entire planet would have to grow like a balloon that never pops. And I would hope someone would have the good sense to have burned down that tree by now before some crazy kid, on a dare, took a bite of that apple. (watch me get ripped b/c the bible doesn't say it was an 'apple').

Had Eve, not eaten from the tree, Gods prefect plan would be working today, yes I believe humans would procreate, just as God gave all the animals, fowls, mammals & all living things mates, he also saw that Adam was lonely & he gave him a mate, for the Lord said it is not good for man to be alone, the world would be prefect, there would be no worries, no problems because God ways are not our ways,God's ways are much higher than our ways and with God all things are possible, he make ways out of no way, you see you have to know him, he is a way maker, problem solver, had Eve not eaten from the tree of life, we would be living in heaven right here on earth, we all would be in paradise, fellow shipping with the Lord in the cool of the day, how awesome would that be? Just the thought of that brings joy to my heart, oh & by the way God"s prefect plan will be, because after the 2nd coming & the judgment heaven will be right here on earth.! Now I would love to hear you & some of you nonbelievers have to say. Thank you for the great question!

    It certainly would be funny.

Taking the illogical story to it's logical conclusion, I see two possibilities.

One, we would be inundated in immortal people and still walking around naked in the Garden of Eden.

Two, somewhere along the line, one of the many descendants would have done something worthy of condemnation by God and we'd be right were we are now (because we're flawed, don't ya know?).

    Either way, it's fiction.

There isn't a population problem now.

There is plenty of room and plenty of food for everyone.

Due to sinful and wicked governments and wicked religions, there are many starving people in the world but that's not God's fault, its the problem of man.

People in India are starving because of the Hindu religion which makes them starve.

In case you missed what I said, I'll say it again, the evil Hindu religion makes people starve.

Until they discovered oil there, the middle eastern Muslim countries were amoung the poorest and most backward countries on Earth.

Christianity and its teaching brings freedom and food and prosperity.

Eventually, sin will be eliminated and people will be living on the new Earth forever.

Its all in the Bible, read it please.

God never intended ALL people to live forever on earth. He desired to save a people for Himself out of the mass of sinful humanity.

There would still be procreation. Here sin caused women's childbirth to be more unbearable!

    Genesis 3:16

To the woman He said,"I will greatly multiplyYour pain in childbirth,In pain you will bring forth children;Yet your desire will be for your husband,And he will rule over you."
