Question for all atheists; How much do you really know?

Consider science, and all the knowledge in the universe. How much knowledge do you think you possess considering the vastness of the entire universe? Considering we know so little of all the knowledge out there, don't you realize what you don't know could involve the truth that God is real, and Jesus is the Savior of the world?

Update:

Consider your lack of knowledge, before you make an assumption based on reason or science. It appears you had a pre-conceived answer, even before you considered how little you really know. The truth will set you free, while deception will keep you bound.

"Sometimes when I'm faced with an unbeliever, an atheist, I am tempted to invite him to the greatest gourmet dinner that one could ever serve, and when we finished eating that magnificent dinner, to ask him if he believes there's a cook." Ronald Reagan

"Limited in his understanding and experience by his five physical senses, man compared to God is little better than an insect. His world exist for only a small distance in any direction, and yet he considers his opinion enlightened in all directions." Maurice Rawlings, M.D.

Why the need to ask, intelligence comes within every group. We should not assume one group is more intelligent than the other. What the born again believer has, is the Spirit of God, a discernment about life. Do not try to explain this to the non believer, it is as Scripture says, "foolishness' for those still in the dark.

No that is the idea of the followers of an idea that is only two thousand years old when the earliest man made tool is over two million years old!!

Acceptance of a supernatural claim tends to promote cooperative social relationships. This communication demonstrates a willingness to accept, without skepticism, the influence of the speaker in a way similar to a child's acceptance of the influence of a parent. By encouraging this kind of behavior where the most intense social relationships occur it facilitates the lack of skepticism and deters more open minded thinking.

They are christian, Muslim or the other religions depending where they were born simply because they were indoctrinated by their parents as very young children. They will go on to indoctrinate their own children and those will go on to indoctrinate their grandchildren!!

Atheists have the intellect to see through the conditioning and escape into the real world!!

Agnostics have the intellect to see through the conditioning but lack the courage to throw of the conditioning entirely.

Sadly Christians are still held firmly prisoner by the self perpetuating brainwashing!!

All that I know I have found through logical understanding , all that I wish to learn excepting the arts and literature are subjects of logical founding. I do not wish to become a specialist in nonsensical mumbo jumbo who do you do voo doo indoctrination of supernatural origin. I also feel that it is a necessity that we safeguard our children from such a precarious situation where ethics and morals are not understood to be a naturally evolved social understanding than rather only being of any substance if instructed by a coffer filling industry.

Atheists KNOW that they do not have all the knowledge of the world. Fundies think that they do. There may be a god out there and when it is proven either way we will accept it, but you lose it when you bring up Jesus. The bible is very clear, the death and resurrection is all smoke and mirrors.

If God is real we have no proof of his existence at this point in time. That I do know.

You may believe in an unproven God, but that God is still unproven.

If the Bible is real and Jesus is the savior of the world, then the God of our world is warped and more interested in worship than morality. Indoctrination soothes minds, some people like fairy tales, others are based in reality.

    1. Old testament bible stories plagarized from sumerian and babylonian mythologgy

    2. No historical evidence whatsoever of most of the old testament stories-

    3. The hebrews were excellent historians--nothing written about the bible jesus by any of the jewish historians--no mention--most signifcantly that the curtian to the holy of holies was supposedly torn in to. To put this into a context you can understand--would be like the new york times not reporting 9/11.

NO one knows everything=--lets just say the probability of your abrahamic deity being actual fact is 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%

I could ask the same question to you, do you really think with what little we know about the universe, that someone in history would have all the answers magically?

I THINK that the study of science is the method to unveil what lies behind this curtain we call life,

don't you realize science, the study of how everything was created, should be what you follow?

not the interpretation of how it happened? based on NO evidence, just "hope" or "faith" as they call it!?

I probably know less than 0.01% of all human knowledge. And all human knowledge isn't all there is to know.

So I know very very very little.

COULD there be a god? Sure. I'm not a strong atheist. Most of the atheist at Y!A are not strong atheists.

There COULD also be invisible unicorns. (The evidence for them and the Christian god are equal, after all.)

And on the other hand it could possibly be the gods of some obscure tribe in Papua New Guinea. Or if we apply Occam's razor it is more probably no god at all.

To be honest, Ernie, not that much. At least for my own self, that is.

But, just because I don't know much about the workings or goings on of the universe, isn't any cause to jump into something I simply can't believe.

If I could believe, I would. It has nothing to do with rejection or denial. It has to do with an inability to have blind faith.
