A simple question: why do cons prefer spending their tax dollars on war, instead of their country?

Why do Libs insist on using everyones money and blame the US for everything? You have super lib in office and things are far worse, we are farther in debt, we project weakness, and the answer to that is more spending. With this mindset there can never be enough money. If you don't fund the military you will get to see how other countries treat civilians in times of war. You'll be the first one crying about or for protection.

The defense of the country is actually a power given to the federal government by the Constitution

Republicans are tied into the military industrial complex. Lockhead, Boeing and all the other weapons and equipment manufacturers lobby big time to get government contracts.

you say cons are so eager to spend money on war, but obama just asked for a record amount of $708 billion (most in history of US) for DoD, and sent 30,000 more troops across the water. seems obama is simply about spending money on EVERYTHING. except of course, military members, as he has cut pay for all military members and done it pretty quietly so conservatives havent been able to jump on his ***, but ive seen the difference in my paycheck i guarantee ya.
