150,000 to now an estimated 300,000 dead?! Oh please...Can someone show me the bodies?

I do not mind help other countries that needs help at a bad time like this...But, come on...raising the estimated dead? I wonder why...

I have yet, seen the multitude of dead bodies let alone a mass graves of all the dead bodies in which, the biased journalists is basing their fact on.

It's one thing to help others, buts it another when that situation is being use to take advantage of our good will, then I have a problem with that.

Are you not curious of the given so called facts of this event? or are you those who blindly give without understanding all the facts?

How would we feel if it happened in our own community? There is no doubt that a horrible tragedy has happened to our fellow human beings. Estimates of the dead usually rise in such events and sadly they turn out to be true.

How can we know for sure. There is only one way, go there in person and count them. Our reliance on others (news media in general) has gotten so bad that what ever they say we would believe it 95 pct of the time. So the only thing i can say is use the different news media outlets against them self's (they have been know to be wrong in the past). I go with Reuters, USA, LAT, NYT and a host of smaller outlets to see if they are all reporting the same. The problem is news media reporting the same without really investigating what's happen, using sensational journalism to get your attention, until we find out it was false reporting (CBS, NBC, CNN). How often do we hear of the journalist who did the reporting getting fired never (I'd say we start putting the pressure on the news media).

I will listen to my husband who was working in Hati when the quake struck, thanks, They will never be sure, however they knew what the population was and they can estimate figures in various ways I have heard 150,000 but not 300,000, the only figure of 300,000 I have heard is with ref to the number of orphans (est) prior to the quake. Mass Graves and bodies under the rubble, bodies scopped up in the rubble, some of the problems in supplying more accurate figures. No not curious, I see the evidence with my own eyes and hear what my husband tells me, he is there.

At first they said it was 100,000, then 50,000 add them both together and we now have 150,000. This tragedy would be bad enough, but it's been a disaster made worse by the idiots who are hindering not helping. Even now there are people who have received no help, while warehouses are full and those in charge are nothing less than chancers. God help the people as this lot can't.

From reports I heard on the news, most of the them buried their OWN members of families in mass graves NOT in reports or other news services. It makes sense to me. But, I guess they have their right to that "burial privacy." Logistics be damned!

Not really possible to show you that amount of bodies...probably due to the fact that a hell of a lot of them are still buried under tons of collapsed buildings.
