Steam clean windows--Does it work well?

Getting at some opinions - superior idea

If you're talking about the little purple hand held thing, don't buy it. It's not big enough to generate any kind of pressure or amount of steam. I've seen steam irons that generate more!

And for a little more $$, you could get the unit I've placed a link to below. It is big enough to generate a lot of steam with good pressure and works for nearly an hour before needing refilled.

I've had it for nearly 2 years and use it a lot! I do windows, walls, doors, trim, cabinets, floors, appliances, bathroom fixtures, counters, you name it with it and it works great!

Steam is a so much better way to clean! And you won't be buying all those cleaning products that aren't good for us or the environment and that saves a ton of $$. Do pair the steamer with those microfiber cloths for best results. They wipe so much more efficiently than anything else! I get mine at Sam's Club; a bundle of 24 is less than $10. They just get tossed in the washer and dryer (no fabric softeners or dryer sheets!) when they are dirty and they are ready to be used again.

And yes, steam cleans windows GREAT! One warning - the cleaners we have used in the past always leave a film on there. The first time you clean your windows with steam, plan on having a bit of a chore. Depending on the products used, it might take awhile to get it off but once you do your windows will be cleaner and stay cleaner longer because there is nothing there to attract the dirt!
