How can you get your personal belonings?
A friend agreed to let me stay at her apartment with her for a few weeks. I only brought a few boxes of personal things with me. A couple of days ago, I went to work and when I came home she was not there and the door was locked.
I found out later that she was arrested and in jail. No one knows how long she will be there and I need to get my things. What can I do? Is there laws related to a situation like this.

This took place in Clark County, Nevada.
A friend told me I could call the police and have them meet me at the apartment and they would have the landlord open the apartment.
I just can't find any information to support this....

Get her to write a letter to the landlord to allow you into the apartment.
