What is the value of a 15 year old Nintendo Game Boy?

My daughter still has the Game Boy that we bought for her older sisters when she was born. That was almost 16 years ago. She also has 8 original games, a carrying case and an illuminated magnifying device to allow it to be used in the dark. Everything works fine. She was offered $200.00. Is that enough? If it's too much, why?

The Game Boy by itself is going for around $20 by itself, but the value of the lot depends on the games that she has, since they can sometimes be worth a lot more than the system itself. It also depends on if any of the games are still in the box (if they are sealed, the value dramatically increases).

Here's a good list of rare Game Boy games: http://www.racketboy.com/retro/nintendo/gameboy/20...

Like the guy before me said, you probably want to look up some completed auctions for the games she has.

    First thought: TAKE IT.

What you should do is look up COMPLETED AUCTIONS on ebay, checking the recent value of each individual item there. Maybe something in the group is super-rare... but I doubt it. It looks like someone is willing to pay over twice what that stuff is probably worth.

If there's the original boxes (in great shape) that might add to the value, but again, compare with ebay to decide.
