Light(s) not working.?

How can I check to see if a light fixture has gone bad? I've replaced the light bulb but still no light. I have two lights that have suddenly stopped working.

Update:

ok...so how do I check the fixture? The swtch keeps "blowing". Never had a problem before.

It could be a bad switch..you can test it by pulling the switch out and touching the wires together...turn off the main power and touch the wire together. also in the sockets sometimes the lamp makes contact with the shell and the center tab...people screw in lamps as tight as they can so over time this pushes the tab in the socket too far in to make contact..best bet is to replace fixture if the switch is okay...

Simple, Install another lamp if problem goes away? Repair or replace the old lamp. If it’s two fixtures that are hardwired on the same circuit install one bulb at a time see which fixture is causing the problem then, replace the fixture or socket that is causing the problem.

see if any circuit breakers have tripped. if so reset them. to check the individual fixtures will require removing them and using a meter on the wires.
