2. I was expecting Pekka Rinne to consolidate his position as starter. Instead, Nashville has gone time-share this entire season, with Dan Ellis slightly outplaying Rinne at times.

Can this be a bad suprise? I'll say Fabian Brunnstrom has been lackluster at best.

1) Bit of a homer bias, but Jose Theodore, who seems to have recovered from early struggles and a bad playoffs last season.

2) Joe Bouwmeester. Just thought with all the talk that he'd be far more explosive and a bigger contributor than he has

1) I am going to go with the St Louis Blues as they surprised me in a bad way. The second half of last season they had the 2nd best record in the NHL and now they have fired thier coach and are 13th in the Western Conference. Very sad

2) This year I would have to say I expected more for the referees of the sport. I have watch a ton of games this years and the calls in most all of them have been horrible. If I see one more ref change the outcome of a game I am going to scream

3) I love Roman Polak's name...mostly because he is not Roman or a Polak

4) Easy Malone pens - always stay true to your team

5) As always they are a force to be reconned with. The Pens are a great team and as long a Fleury gives them a good game they are going to be in position to win every game. Once the playoffs start they are going to be the team to beat in the East
