Man created God so God could create man : Discuss?
kiki - How so, please expand your answer.
kashif - Allah is just the same as god, as the origin of the word comes from the Arabic Al-ilah, which basically means "The God". Orginally Allah was a pagan god, one of many worshipped at Mecca before the time of Mohammed, Allah was the tribal God of the Quraysh and some of the practices of that worship still exsist in Islam today ie. praying towards Mecca, fasting on the same day, giving alms to their own and making a pilgrimage to Mecca.
OX? - You could be right, but God is not fictional to many, many people so my question still stands .. its down to beliefs and perspectives.
No Real Help - You live up to your name :) .. Man created god to have an explination for something he could not explain in rational terms .. ie how did we get here.
Religion hijacked that and turned it into a profit making scare machine.
Angel - Sigh you really do need to study the origins of Allah before making a carte blanc statement like that.
Solly - I reject nothing, just because what you believe may not be in tune with what I believe doesn't make it any more right or wrong than any other belief.

The first guy is wrong.
Man created god in his imagination to explain where people came from when science was an infant.
I'm assuming thats at least part of the answer you were looking for.
Also, saying it's god's fault is an easy way of avoiding accountability for anything.
Man also would not feel as insane or crazy for asking questions to himself in his head. If it were posed at someone else, it would not seem so messed up at that point in history. That last point is stupid I know lol, I wanted to lighten this up a bit.

Allah is the only creator
He created man in order to worship Him
but the other gods are created by man for many purposes
for instance the ancient man wanted something to look up to
someone to blame or to consider him as a source of inspiration

Not all men believe in god and there are many religions that have multiple gods (Polytheism). If you look at it from a religious view then if man created god, god will give man instruction for a path to follow in order to being meaning into man's existance, perhaps a plan and a destination.
If you look at it from an agnostic view then man is still wondering if there is a meaning to his existance.
If you look at it from atheist view just abstract god created man, only man can create god in order to give meaning for man's existance except that meaning could possible be false or a lie.
It does not even stop there, since there are many views to consider from humanists, naturalists, secularists and so on.
In the end only you can decide depending on your views on god.

Mankind created God to explain what he could not understand and feared.Religion started out as magic. Placate the elements with sacrifices ,spells and supplications. The raw elements over time were given a human aspect and virtues and even flaws and Religion was born.

Man created God so we as humans would have something more divine to aspire to and to fear. Maybe a way to keep ourselves on the path is to have boundaries that might not be heeded without fear of punishment. And then our Gods dictate how man is to be.

without god, man never could have been made. god is the creator of everything, he sustains us and we only exist as long as he still wants us around. we didn't make god.
this is not the time to prove it, so i assume you will reject this as religious dogma. i did my best.

its one or the other not both
if man created god and then god creates man, how can god do that if man already exists? and vice versa. maybe you didnt word your question clearly?
