A nurse tired of nursing!?

My friend is a Registered Nurse with a Masters in Nursing Administration. She is tired of being a Charge Nurse on the floor. What suggestions do you have for fields or programs that she can go into that would be different yet still part of the nursing field? Thank you.

With a Masters she can teach nursing. She can also just switch to a different type of nursing - for example, she could do dialysis nursing or home care nursing or go work in a doctor's office or write a nursing textbook or be an operating room nurse. Or she could go to a nursing home and be the supervisor of the whole facility (that's what I do).

Has she thought about being a teaching nurse or a nurse practitioner? These might be something she could look into.

Most of us try flogging drugs (legally) for drug firms.

Try voluntary work overseas if family commitments will stand it. That`s better still.
