PEX Plumbing Supply Lines?

I am considering re-plumbing my house. I've done a lot of copper but never PEX. Anyone have a strong opinion one way or the other. I've heard good things..and not so good things about fittings, junctions, etc.

Pex is so much easier to work with and is cheaper than copper. It is the most common water piping used in new contruction now. I have ran literally 1000s of feet of copper and pex I prefer pex. You can purchase a tool for the crimp rings for 80 bucks or so.

It is great, however the fittings are expenive, but you wont need near as many so that helps balance it out,, you can use barb fittings but youneed a special tool that is expensive, but they make compression fittings which dont require the tool
