Why do you suppose people copy and paste a previous answer as their answer?

It is hard to report people since you rarely see the second answer where you are sure it is second. You usually catch it in voting stage. They do it because when in voting, the answers are jumbled, so they have a chance to get the BA and the 10 points.

Live and let live I say. Many questions on here are very repetitive and get asked on a regular basis, it can be tiresome typing the same helpful answer again and again, especially if it is hard to explain in a short answer. It would not be fair to report a good helpful answer just because it is used again and again. It should not matter, as long as the answer is helpful to the questioner or other people who browse this site.

EDIT: Oops I think I have misunderstood you, yes if somebody is blatantly copying the person who answered before them, then yes! Absolutely they should be reported. They do it because they are lazy to type their own answer and want to gain best answers without putting in any effort of their own.

EDIT: When all answers are correct the best thing to do is choose the very first person who answered this question correct, so I guess the user above me should get the points.
