Smoking weed on the job.?

Will a place hire you in California that doesn't allow drug use, but you have a drug card? If they don't, why isn't that discrimination? It's the same as a place not hiring you because you take any other medication.

Update:

Sorry tom, but i function fine at my job when high, in fact i do sometimes better because I don't feel the pain in my back. If that's the case, they would have to see how everyone on medication performs at a job, because any medication varies from person to person.

Marijuana possession is still illegal at the federal level, it doesn't matter what the state does. So if federal law says possession is illegal, then your job is going to side with the federal law and not the state law.

If your weed use inhibits your ability to perform the job, it's not discrimination. That's the same w/ ANY medication & ANY job. You are not qualified for the job.

If they don't hire you because of it you could def make a court case out of it.
