Is this an example of assonance?

I have to write a poem for english class and we have to include assonance.

I wrote

"tilling the rolling hills..." are the words tilling and hills an assonance? do both consonants on either side of the same vowel have to be different? or can just one consonant be different?

thank you!

Generally, you need a chain of three sounds to make it proper, but yes, it is assonance.
