should i go core i7 or should i wait a few months more ?
is it really worth going for a core i7 now or should i just wait another few months and will the prizes of core i7 boards processors and ddr 3 ram drop down ?
my current setup is -
core 2 duo 2.66 ghz intel processor
foxconn g33m mother board
2 gb x 2 (667) ddr 2 ram (all together 4 gb)
evga gtx 260 core 216 vga
amacrox 500w psu

2 Questions.
#1 - Why do you need an i7 when it's been proven time and time again that it's no better for gaming than a Phenom II or Core 2 Quad?
#2 - Why are you going to pay $215 for a GeForce GTX 260 when a Radeon HD 4870 gives the exact same power for $170?
Look what Intel's done compared to what AMD did. AMD's AM3 CPUs are backwards compatible with AM2+ sockets. Intel currently has 3 sockets (775, 1156 and 1366) on the market to make sure that you MUST buy a motherboard and the lemmings just run to it like it's the holy grail. What's up with that?

wouldnt hurt to wait prices drop all the time and sales happen. if ur happy with ur setup now and it does what u need it too then id just wait... its wat im doin
