Depends on the workplace... If you work in a church or parochial school, then it is probably ok... If not, it is probably highly unprofessional to discuss religion, either pro or con as no matter what, it will make folks uncomfortable..

And the water dunking dude above is wrong... Ethics and morals are not inherently religious, so not really related to your question... One can discuss "right from wrong" without it being about god or religion... I am a moral person because I know (and practice) right from wrong, not because I fear that some god will punish me...

It depends on your workplace. Like if you had a radio show and the topic that day was religion. Then that'd be ok. But it's generally a topic you want to shy away from at work. Especially if discussing with a superior or inferior in the company.

If everyone involved in the conversation was comfortable and it was kept in the arena of friendly banter and civil discussion/debate, that's fine. But it should be done on the employees' own time, during breaks and the like. It may cause tensions to rise among employees, but even non-religious conversations can cause that.

No, it would not be appropriat to discuss religion or politics or sex or race, etc in the work place. I liked when I worked for a place where we signed a paper saying we would not discuss these things.

this is faith and politics! as a results of fact human beings can develop into very emotional, biased and take a glance at to transform you. as a results of fact there's no perfect or incorrect answer yet some human beings may well be fanatic approximately it and discussions can get heated up and unfavorable exceptionally if human beings are close minded. superb ingredient is to refrain from discussing the two one at artwork. save it to your self.

Just talk about Jesus instead of religion, and pray before you go to work for special wisdom and guidance and the right words. Meditate on the word too before you leave for work. Yes, I know it can be divisive. But remember what Jesus said, "I bring not peace but a sword", meaning his words would cause division. He also said, "What you hear in secret, shout it from the house tops."

No it would not be appropriate, it is so unfortunate that people simply cannot understand that it's religion that creates all our wars and hatred towards our fellow man.

The only thing that needs to be discussed at work is work. It is very unprofessional to speak about religion or politics at work.

When Life involves questions which only religion or religious morals and ethics can answer, I do not see why it should be forbidden in the work-place. After all, things can be spoken of which are essentially religious, without, the words, : "religion" "god" etc. being mentioned.

    No.

Its a personal subject and should be discussed privately.

    Definitely not in the workplace.

It would create a hostile work environment.
