Tearing during birth?

With my first child, who weight 7.5, I didnt rip at all. All I had was a small scratch.

With my second child on the way I am a little scared that I can still rip during this one, even though I didnt with my first.

Do you think its less likely or undeterminable I could rip?

Update:

I was not medicated for the first labor and wont be for this one either. (Labor time to the last was 2 hours on the dot)

Hard to say since each labor is different. You could tear with this one; if you do, be prepared to be a lot more sore than you were with the first one.

Beats me. I was fine with my first birth. Not even a scratch but I tore with the second and third even though they were both smaller. However, I had really fast labors (under 3 hours) with the second and the third an no epidural so maybe that's why I tore. I guess it depends on the conditions of your second birth.

It's slightly less likely because you've already gotten all stretched out once. But, it may happen. It's just not as high of a chance.

Probably not, i would assume..my first child was 6.3 and i had to have an episiotomy. my second son was 7.10 and i didn't need an episiotomy nor did i tear or anything...so I would assume that probably won't happen to u again.
