    Yes,

I agree. I get reported everyday. But I always win on appeal. In fact, it has been a long, long time since I lost an answer/question on appeal.

Having been reported for nonexistent violations of the community guidelines by people whom you identify with, I'd have to say that some of the moderators here in YA are politically-biased in your direction. I've protested some of these bogus 'violations' and gotten one or two of the most obviously bogus accusations reversed on appeal. I don't know whether the people who accused me of the violations were deprived of the right to influence YA, as the Community Guidelines say will happen.

I don't know about "thicker skin." I think that people should adhere to the Community Guidelines, and that the moderators should enforce the Community Guidelines consistently. When I've been accused of violating Community Guidelines, it was for answers identical to ones that leftists routinely get away with, even after being reported.

Yahoo Answers really needs to internally audit the consistency with which they enforce Community Guidelines. If these Guidelines were interpreted consistently, "thicker skin" wouldn't be an issue.

It really sounds to me as though you're asking for special permission to violate YA Community Guidelines when you disagree with someone else's politics. And that is the main problem with YA Government and Politics - people flouting the Community Guidelines instead of discussing matters with dignity and decorum.

nicely you havent reported something too undesirable yet you in addition to would didnt answer the question all you have reported is that your going to get a thumbs down as a prepare of protest and then reported that the question asker is a loser - you havent reported something approximately why your an Atheist (by way of ways i'm additionally Athiest) yet i think that if people get some sturdy or sense sturdy from their theory device then thats great I even have faith even inspite of the undeniable fact that that they could appreciate our theory to no longer have faith in a god or stick to a faith

i think two of 'em could be considered violations... the other two both named a party.

    .

the way i figure is: so long as they include an answer to my question, they can say whatever else they like. heck, i'll rarely even thumb down answers (to my own questions)

anything w/an actual answer = 0-1 thumbs up

snotty NON-answer rant w/insults (and that guy who answers w/ascii pictures) = report

answerless rant that shares my viewpoint = 0-1 thumbs down (yah, i let em slide)

I don't see any inappropriate answers.

    Portia's response was off target.

You weren't questioning Y!A, you were questioning people's reportable responses.

I agree, if people want to answer Political questions, they do need to have a thicker skin and not take it personal.

Technically some of them are violations but the only time I would report people are when they say something totally out of line and offensive regarding race or religion.

    Snitches get stitches.

Most answers (and questions) violate terms of service, and this IS a private site. That being said, I think anyone who reports q&a's is a big sissy and is better suited to the "word games" section of y/a.

People sometimes report for no good reason... often in fact.

But the Community Guidelines thing is pretty much a sham.

I wouldn't worry about it. Not many people do.

Just do what you think is right.
