is citizenship a right or a privilege and why?

hmm, let me give examples:

if u were born in Britain, then it is your right to be British!

and if u r British, then u should be grateful that u r British with all the advantages of being British as it is a great country and many people wishes to be British!

but, there are many who wish not to be British and are grateful to be citizens of their own nation like me!

I'm "Swedish" and i wish not to be British even though Britain is a great country!

and I'm grateful for being Swedish

but may be there is some Afghany, who wishes not to be Afghani and wishes to be British!

Citizenship is an honor if u percieve it to be an honor!

anw, i tink its a right bt will b riting its a privilege cos easier 2 rite. reasons will b cos if u live here ur whole life, bt dun do anything 4 e country, u still wan call urself a sg-an? sum1 hu does not live in sg bt supports us much more than an sg-an shd hv more rites ya? n u cant choose e country u r born in, bt u can choose e country u wan live in. smt liddat larh... dying.. hvn even started on e essay... i wan extension!!! ><
