It removed the psychotic features of my depression and I didn't experience any weight gain. The only negative side effect I had was a lot of annoying movement in my legs, especially while trying to fall asleep. I would also bounce my knee constantly while sitting. That went away entirely after about 6 months.
I took 30mg/day for about 2.5 years.

Abilify removes the annoying symptoms the other prescription medications didn't touch.
Auditory hallucinations.
Memory problems
PTSD flashbacks
residual depression the anti-depressant doesn't take care of
NO side effects.
The only down side is the cost of the drug, over $400 a month.

I use abilify and find that it works very well in combination with my antidepressant to control and stabilize my mood. The only con I have with it is that it causes unwanted movement, leg cramps, etc. My doctor also put me on cogentin, which is used to treat parkinsons to make the constant need to move stop. It works well in that regard. Otherwise I'm very happy with abilify.
