Why weren't the Gospels written in the first-person?

They were written after he died, none of the gospels were written by people who knew him.

Because they were written by men MANY years after the fact. Jesus did not write the gospels.

Have you seen the Movie " The Book Of Eli " how the main actor read the Bible, when the book took to him by the second lead man, and when he open it, he was suprise because the book is writen for the blind . . . . . is it possible for us to read a book without a text printed on it . . . . but the main point at the last sequence of the story, the main actor before he die he narrated all what is written in the Bible and someone is writting for every words he is saying before he Died ( actually the movie is pointless)... Can you emagine How God Spoke To his Choosen And So The Bible Can Be Read Untill Now . . . . the first Bible Bible was wrtten in Hebrew . . . But The Ten Commandment Of God Was Given To Moises Written In The Stone . . . . my question to you who wrote that in the stone.

They were written so long after "Jesus" lived and died that nothing in them is believable. In fact would you believe a story about someone that lived a hundred years before anything was ever written about them? I wouldn't.

Don't confuse the above statement with general history.
