She could deliver the audience to pay the price of admission, no one else was viable.
Remember that it was a FOR PROFIT event.

Oh excuse me but we all saw Palin reading from cue-cards and ink written on her left palm to help her with the big words. Obama as all modern day POTUS, use a teleprompter; in Bush case an ear piece to feed him ideas. In as much; a POTUS will make several speeches in one week. Palin only had one big speech, and her actions came off as a High School presentation at best. Spinning without sound evidence speaks volumes.

She motivates the regular person, she is one of us, not an elitist who looks down on people, but one who you can see eye to eye, that is why she is hated by the liberals,socialist running our country right now
