Why did the Tea Party ask Sarah Palin to deliver the key note address at its national convention?

She is their current Diva.

She could deliver the audience to pay the price of admission, no one else was viable.

Remember that it was a FOR PROFIT event.

Oh excuse me but we all saw Palin reading from cue-cards and ink written on her left palm to help her with the big words. Obama as all modern day POTUS, use a teleprompter; in Bush case an ear piece to feed him ideas. In as much; a POTUS will make several speeches in one week. Palin only had one big speech, and her actions came off as a High School presentation at best. Spinning without sound evidence speaks volumes.

Because she's a popular and engaging political figure who espouses many or most of the views of the Tea Party movement.
