Dell Inspiron 1525 "battery not charging"?
Okay, I know it's not the adaptor or the battery. I've replaced both. What is the problem and how much am I looking at to have it repaired? Oh, the bios have recently been updated as well, so I know that has been ruled out as well. Thanks!

Hi,according to all the info you have provided it seems that maybe there's something wrong with the laptops charging point, the socket in which you insert the adaptor pin.
Hope that helps.

Most laptops have a fuse internally on the motherboard by the battery. If that fuse is blown, your battery won't charge. Unfortunately, this isn't an easy fix. You will need to return the laptop to dell for repair.

from your question I assume it power on okay. It sounds like your motherboard is faulty you are then talking about £140 to £180 for a motherboard and then someones time on top of that. It is a costly repair.

Try plugging the charger in the wall! Or use a wall outlet that works. The problem is a PEBSAC error.
