Do you believe Jesus coming soon?

Actually, I think Jesus' return is sooner than we think. I believe it is very possible, given the signs we are to watch for. The biggest missing puzzle piece was the re-emergence of the nation of Israel, and that took place in 1948. We are now watching the nations align with Bible prophecy.

We are watching the world continaully grow hostile toward Israel.

We are watching the United States of America diminish as a Christian nation, moving steadfastly toward humanist New World Order idealogies.

On and on...the list is full of check-marks!

Jesus told us that no one knows the day or the hour, but He did tell us we could know the general timeframe. My personal opinion on this, is that we are far past the beginning point. We are almost past the middle. Time (as in minutes, hours, days, etc) is not measured the same in the last portion. We could literally watch everything culminate within a month's time, or it could take years. We just don't know exactly. But my 30+ years of being a born-again Christian and all the study in that time tells me this generation could very well see the return of Jesus Christ. In fact, personally, I am looking up. I am actually smiling as I write this.

2 Peter 3:1-17

"BELOVED, I am now writing you this second letter. In [both of] them I have stirred up your unsullied (sincere) mind by way of remembrance,

That you should recall the predictions of the holy (consecrated, dedicated) prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior [given] through your apostles (His special messengers).

To begin with, you must know and understand this, that scoffers (mockers) will come in the last days with scoffing, [people who] walk after their own fleshly desires

And say, Where is the promise of His coming? For since the forefathers fell asleep, all things have continued exactly as they did from the beginning of creation.

For they willfully overlook and forget this [fact], that the heavens [came into] existence long ago by the word of God, and the earth also which was formed out of water and by means of water,

Through which the world that then [existed] was deluged with water and perished.

But by the same word the present heavens and earth have been stored up (reserved) for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly people.

Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape you, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.

The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people's conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will vanish (pass away) with a thunderous crash, and the [material] elements [of the universe] will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up.

Since all these things are thus in the process of being dissolved, what kind of person ought [each of] you to be [in the meanwhile] in consecrated and holy behavior and devout and godly qualities,

While you wait and earnestly long for (expect and hasten) the coming of the day of God by reason of which the flaming heavens will be dissolved, and the [material] elements [of the universe] will flare and melt with fire?

But we look for new heavens and a new earth according to His promise, in which righteousness (uprightness, freedom from sin, and right standing with God) is to abide.

So, beloved, since you are expecting these things, be eager to be found by Him [at His coming] without spot or blemish and at peace [in serene confidence, free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts].

And consider that the long-suffering of our Lord [His slowness in avenging wrongs and judging the world] is salvation that which is conducive to the soul's safety), even as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the spiritual insight given him,

Speaking of this as he does in all of his letters. There are some things in those [epistles of Paul] that are difficult to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist and misconstrue to their own utter destruction, just as [they distort and misinterpret] the rest of the Scriptures.

Let me warn you therefore, beloved, that knowing these things beforehand, you should be on your guard, lest you be carried away by the error of lawless and wicked [persons and] fall from your own [present] firm condition [your own steadfastness of mind]."

Yes, there can be no doubt that His return is very, very soon. In order for us to know this, God provided the following clues in the Bible: 1) Although the Jews would be scattered throughout the world and the nation of Israel destroyed, Israel would be made into a nation again and the Jews would be slowly regathered to it. Israel was made a nation for the first time since 70 AD in May, 1948. Since the 1880's, the Jews have been gathering there due to the Zionist movement. 2) When the nation is re-established, it would be done in one day. This was fulfilled in May, 1948. 3) The Bible says the Jews would be regathered in a state of unbelief in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is easily proven true by Israel's own statistics, which state the vast majority of Jews living there are secular (not religious). At some point AFTER the above events, the world will transition into a period of time God calls "the latter days." This is the period of years that preceeds "the time of the end," or the "Tribulation" (i.e. the last 7 years before His return). 4) Jesus stated that AFTER 1 - 3 have taken place, AND you see natural disasters, wars, plagues and famines greatly increasing, THEN His return is imminent. Scientists state that natural disasters have increased by 400% since 1980 -- what does this tell you? We now have plagues like AIDS, SARS, Ebola, etc. that cannot be cured by any known medication. Warfare has greatly increased and, as a result of climactic change and warfare, famine is quite prevalent on the earth. Don't listen to people who say "Christians have always said He's returning soon!" Actually, their scorn is the fulfillment of a prophecy (2 Peter 3:3-4).

He is definitely coming soon. I believe God is calling you to read Heaven is So Real by Choo Thomas. I read it every day since the day i got it. It was a revival. An awakening. It will make you want to live obediently & will make you feel like the rapture will come very soon. It will give you a new perspective on the world. How old are you anyway? It took Noah 100 years to build the ark and still people did not believe him when he said it was going to rain and the rain came.

Nothing has changed till this day that there is so many still not believing that Christ is returning. All Scripture says that we are to be ready and to "look up for your redemption drawth nigh." No one know the time or the day of the Lord's returning but we can be sure He is whether one belives it or not.

He is here right now today!

Mat 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

I believe He is, but the bible says no man will know when he will return.

I'm still trying to decide which religion is right! Once a strong Christian, now majorly interested in Islam.

If that guy is real he should have shown up a long time ago.
