Did you/are you using a Doula?
Hi ladies,
Just wondering if anyone has or is planning to use a birth doula? The hubby and I thought about it the first time but decided not too and now we are considering it again this time around. Anyone have good experience or bad experience? Is it a waste of money??
Thanks!!

Doulas are only worth the money if you are having a natural birth/labor. I would love one but don't think I will be able to afford one. My friend has successfully used Hypnobabies (the same method I am using) so she might come in and coach me.

I did use a Doula with my twins and he or she was once potent and valued at each penny! Without her I could've caved into having the C-Section vs. the usual supply I paid $650 for mine - however she additionally got here to my house for every week postpartum For the ones that do not understand a Doula is type of like your private attendant in the course of exertions - she does not exchange your OB or MW

I really wish that I were, but sadly, I am not. There aren't any around here, but I would love to be with midwives or at the very least a doula. Here, I can only go to one hospital, etc. It sucks a lot.

Nope. I sure didn't. I also didn't take any child birthing classes. I went in a complete naive first timer!
My labour and delivery went awesome. No complications. All the nurses told me I did very well.
My inexperienced husband was also my contraction coach during labour!
lol A good nurse is all you need.
