What 1 scientific or provable natural fact most helps your faith in Bible or Christianity?

Not looking for imbecilic or sarcastic answers from nonbelievers, ty. This is an honest question asked for Christian believers (who have a right to believe what they want to)...to answer. TY

Update:

Jesusiree... I have NO idea what you are saying.

Dreamstuff.. I can think of dozens... so don't hold your breath for a best answer on this one!

Update 2:

I can't believe Christians are on a blind faith only- not realizing that our faith is based on actual HISTORY- based on verifiable and documented recordings of eyewitnesses- and that Biblical record is scientifically proven on a regular basis. "The heart of the righteous studies how to answer"- not much study reflected in THESE answers so far!

Update 3:

LOL jaantoo1 -- you judge without the Spirit. I am a believing, Jesus-loving Pastor and teacher. I am surveying people to see what single natural or scientific fact helps bolster the faith they already have.

Update 4:

Egad, what a phenomenal disappointment you guys!!!! That's all you got? God help you, honestly. The Scripture enjoins us to study to show ourselves approved! It says the heart of the righteous studies how to answer. But the answers here? Lord have mercy on us all. No wonder there are so many atheists. Too many Christians- too few worthy answers from them! Vote for yourselves therefore amongst the empty answers.

Update 5:

ok, I'm taking it back cuz jaantoo1, while she completely missed it by judging me as an unbeliever, did manage to put a number of things down that are useful- though I was looking for single sentence bullet point type answers. The points will go to her. The one who left two websites didn't leave an actual answer to the question of what helps his/her faith- so while the websites are good- the answer misses anyway.

Archaeology and history confirm the written words. Thus I can conclude that most of what is written is indeed factual. We do a lot of critical analysis when we decided to follow God.. Take some time, dear one, to do your research before asking such a question. Most of the cities mentioned in the Bible have been either excavated and found, or are still inhabited. The evidence, that he has left, would stand in any court of the law.. How many eye witness accounts do you need? How many miracles do you need? The Bible has been proven to be historically accurate as well as archaeologically accurate.. ((these peoples still inhabit the lands of the bible.. This is their history)) They do and did keep records. they have genealogies, tax records, death records, criminal records, census records, land deed records and etc.. There are many writings regarding Jesus that have nothing to do with religion.. We love scientist. The world is a better place because of their efforts. I am kinda amazed that you think you KNOW how we feel and think. Their work certainly helps to provide evidence for our Bible.. Only a very small percentage of Christians are science-deniers.

The Bible is an historically accurate book. Archaeology has NEVER proven the Bible to be wrong; in fact, it is an excellent resource for archaeologists, even today. Discoveries are still being made, like the recent finding of the "Pool of Siloam" that was written of about 2000 years ago.

No legitimate scholar today denies that Jesus is a historic figure that walked on this earth about 2,000 years ago, that he did remarkable wonders and acts of charity, and that He died a horrible death on a Roman cross just outside Jerusalem.

The New Testament. Most, if not all, of the New Testament was originally written in Greek. How do we know that the New Testament which we have today is what was originally written? Let us take a look at the evidence that consists of thousands of ancient manuscripts, ancient versions, and quotations of the New Testament found in the writings of the early Church Fathers.

Oh, come to find out, ALL but 11 VERSES, of the entire New Testament can, Indeed, be confirmed by outside secular sources. Including, but not limited to:

    1) Greek Manuscripts. Approximately 5,000 manuscripts of the New Testament have survived in the original language.

    2) Ancient Versions. By the second century, the New Testament was being translated into different languages. Syriac, Latin, Coptic and other translations provide valuable sources from which to compare.

    3) Early Church Fathers. Within 300 years of Christ, almost 36,000 quotations of the New Testament appear in the writings of the early church fathers. In fact, every verse in the New Testament is quoted but 11 in secular areas.

I can go on and on.... What do you offer?

Peace and blessings from Texas <><

Source(s): The word science means knowledge, nothing more and nothing less. We all know that there is no knowledge that proves there is no God. You have NO ( well, hardly any) evidence that stands up to real scrutiny, or at least nothing tangible to make me think otherwise..This evolution point is moot to us.. And this is NOT hypothetical.. no science can, or ever has, proven, there is no God.

I don't really expect there to be anything credible. But then I wouldn't expect there to be credible evidence for many written works, truth, fiction, or otherwise that touch many peoples' lives.I've known people to make the Jedi Census Phenomenon more than just a joke, if you catch the drift. I myself have found that 'spark of coincidence' in many a work of complete fiction, that hard to describe thing, something just seems to be too eerily coincidental.

I'm afraid I don't really know what to give you specifically, perhaps, the concept of infinity. In an infinite universe, everything is not only possible, but every possibility quite simply does exist somewhere, and is impossible not to, even if those impossibilities are quite scientifically far fetched, such as many presented in the spark of imagination encoded from a writer's mind and/or senses onto paper years, centuries or millenia ago (or even minutes even, and even here).

Not trying to be annoying, but there isn't anything scientific about religion. It's not bad or an insult, it's just the truth. That's why it's called faith. It's not possible to prove the supernatural using the natural. God is philosophical, not scientific.

There is none whatsoever, of course - that's why faith is needed.

    This is an honest answer.
