Who pays for the police funerals?

Whenever a police officer get slained in action in Canada, a huge number of police officers from North America attend the funeral. Don't get me wrong. I have all the sympathy but who pays the bill?

The police department, usually. It's the last act of gratitude for someone who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Generally, officers pay their own way to attend a fellow officer's funeral, and despite what honeyinthelexus said, attending funerals is NOT a fringe benefit.

The police dept or the county that they serve in.

I am sad that you even ask such a question. Such respect is so deserved.
