Whats the best way to clean up split shampoo in a backpack?

i just got back from a trip and i realized the compartment in my bag where i stored shampoo is now covered in shampoo cuz the bottle opened up some how. clean it up? i wiped most of it away but theres still that soapy feeling on the inside.

    1] remove all contents

    2] turn backpack inside out

    3] machine wash, gentle cycle, in cold water OR

    4] hand wash, cold water - rinse thoroughly

    5] line dry [ unless washing tag says can be put in dryer ]

    If this was my backpack I would attempt to hand wash the back pack in the bath tub. Their may be to much suds for your washing machine to handle. Also, washing in the machine may throw it out of balance on the extraction cycle. You may have to change the water a few times. Good Luck

    If possible, wash the Backpack in the washing machine If not, hang it up outside and wash it out with a Garden Hose.
