Can someone help me understand middle and lower class Republicans? They seem to?

I could spit some long list of problems right back at Democrats. All about wasting tax payer money and giving handouts to people and making them dependent on the government. When it comes down to it both side are only interested in staying in office. They are going to make claims on what they think both sides want to hear. They both do good things and they both do bad things. There are times when having a democrat in office is better than a republican and there are times when having a republican in office is better than democrat. To say that one sides ideologies work 100% of the time is foolish.

Even though I am not a Republican, I am however, a conservative that is an independent.

Now I will answer your question with this; what has the democrats done as of late?

I am employed by a large corporation. Their customers are also large corporations. When we wage war against their profits, it hurts my employer's customers, which hurts my employer, which hurts me. When my employer can't find freight to put in my trailer, I end up sitting not making any money. And as I drive around the country, more and more of my employer's customers are disappearing, leaving nothing behind but empty buildings. When times were good, I got raises. This year, I had to take a pay cut just in order to keep my job. I make less now than when they hired me ten years ago. Do I blame them? No. There are other trucking companies with lower paid drivers than me, and my employer had to cut their rates to compete. The bottom line, what's good for the corporations, is good for me. A government that wages war against corporations and profit, is bad for me and affects my ability to earn money.

In the health insurance speeches in the House today, they (conservatives) didn't mention a single American's need for health insurance. All they have talked about is the profits of the corporations. It's astonishing how disconnected they are from middle-class life in America.

Say what you want about banks, but you fail to mention the money sucking unions that have ran American Industries into the ground with their demanding salaries and ridiculous strikes.

They really think that by being loyal to such lovable guys like Dick bin Cheney and Boss Limbaugh that when the party becomes a dictatorship they will be rewarded! Really! If that ever happens, they'll be in the retraining camps just like the rest of us.

Republicans, most of them that I know work, and if great numbers of them are on welfare it is because this Democrat administration, took there jobs, homes, their faith in America, so that CHANGE could take place. They are screwing with our children's minds, trying to destroy our faith in GOD, you can have the people that call themselves Democrats.
