Swelling of a monroe piercing?
So I got my monroe pierced last Saturday (a week ago and I LOVELOVELOVE it) and the swelling has gone down a good bit. However, it is still swollen around the jewelry. My worries lie in the fact the the swelling is hard and keloid-like. There hasn't been any pus etc. other than the normal plasma crusties, and I've been cleaning it about three times daily with sea salt, anti-bacterial soap, Biotene, or a combination of the afore mentioned, as directed.
I've also been taking ibuprofen and sipping ice water.
I would just like to know if this type of swelling is normal, and if not, what should be done?
Is there any way to help reduce the swelling that I'm not already employing?
Thanks so much (:
Please don't just tell me to take it out because you're not a fan of modification.
That wastes my time and yours.

I've had my monroe pierced and the swelling is completely normal. You can put an ice pack on it for a little while everyday it can help the swelling but other than that you just have to wait it out.
