Where can I get reasonably priced piercing tapers?
So for my birthday my mom surprised me with a pair of plugs from Omerica that she knew I've been looking at for AGES. They're wonderful (:

However, they are a 5/8 and at this point in time, I'm at a 7/16. I need to stretch.
I want to do it safely and sanely, but I've recently moved away from home and have no idea where in Boston to get tapers.
Does anyone know of a place, or a website that sells reasonably priced (and by reasonably priced I mean dirt cheap) tapers?
I loathe the look and feel of them, so I don't want to pay too much for something I'm only using once.
and please, if you dislike modding, keep it to yourself (:
3 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoSwelling of a monroe piercing?
So I got my monroe pierced last Saturday (a week ago and I LOVELOVELOVE it) and the swelling has gone down a good bit. However, it is still swollen around the jewelry. My worries lie in the fact the the swelling is hard and keloid-like. There hasn't been any pus etc. other than the normal plasma crusties, and I've been cleaning it about three times daily with sea salt, anti-bacterial soap, Biotene, or a combination of the afore mentioned, as directed.
I've also been taking ibuprofen and sipping ice water.
I would just like to know if this type of swelling is normal, and if not, what should be done?
Is there any way to help reduce the swelling that I'm not already employing?
Thanks so much (:
Please don't just tell me to take it out because you're not a fan of modification.
That wastes my time and yours.
1 AnswerOther - Skin & Body1 decade agoThink my dermals are rejecting? (pictures)?
I've had them for about two months.
They seem to be sitting up rather high, but there is no redness, peeling, swelling, pain etc.
They feel fine and don't look irritated.
I'm planning on going back to the piercer in a couple of weeks to have the discs changed, but I'd just like a little help and peace of mind, you know?

2 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoWhat would be reasonably priced outfit for these boots (picture)?
I bought these shoes today and lovelovelove them.
I have more of a boho/indie style than anything else.
I pretty much shop online and thrift quite a bit.
Just bought these, but I'm not sure what to put them with.
):
I'm about 5'10, size 6, so I have no issues with flattering clothes etc.
1 AnswerFashion & Accessories1 decade agoDSLR help anyone? Which one, which one...?
I'm looking to buy a new camera. As of now I'm still with my pop's old Olympus SLR and I'm looking to go digital for a halfway decent price.
SO here's where I am:
Olympus E520
or
Pentax k2000
Which would be alright for someone just going digital, but would grow well with the user?
and are infrared remotes available for both?
5 AnswersCameras1 decade agoDo they make microdermal anchors that you can't change the tops on?
Just wondering.
links help as well
2 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoHow do I go about changing the discs on my microdermals?
So I did what I said I wouldn't and got microdermals on my clavicles, as opposed to surface bars. Lower rejection rate and whatnot...
They're only a few hours old and I know to wait a few months to change them; that's a given.
However, when the time comes, I want to know how to change them out. Where is a good place to purchase SAFE, HYPOALLERGENIC replacement discs?
Please and thank you.

1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoWhich basis should I send my tattoo artist?
both ideas have meaning to me, but I'm unsure as to which one I want as my first.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q229/arch_angel...
those two are of the first idea, and the second is here

These are all flash and my artist does custom work only so the finished product will vary, but I'd like to have something to send him before I make my appointment.
3 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoWhat is the student life like at Northeastern University?
I'm very interested in this university and I plan on traveling to Boston to tour it soon.
How strong is their humanities department? (I'm VERY interested in their Anthropology/Business double major)
any insight at all is welcome :D
Most detailed gets best answer.
Thank you in advance :D
3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoDoes anyone have any advice/experience with clavicle piercings?
I'm in the Memphis/Nashville area and I have a parlor that I've researched, but if you know another good one I'm open for suggestions.
About how much will I pay for the pair? I know it varies from parlor to parlor but they won't vary too much.
Should I make an appointment? Or walk-in?
Aftercare: how long do they take to heal?
I know about rejection etc. and I REALLY don't want dermals.
links to BMZ articles do me no good. If I wanted those, I'd look there.
Thanks in advance :D
2 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoAnnoying question. Should I get a monroe piercing?
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q229/arch_angel...
I have my septum done and I'm debating whether or not I should go for a monroe.
I'm not sure how it would work with my face but I'd like to do something before college ends and I have to get a "real" job.
vom.
opinions please?
4 AnswersOther - Skin & Body1 decade agoWhat are some good newer metal bands that you would suggest?
I'm into the typical "heavy metal" things. Grunge is good as well. PLEASE I BEG YOU NO HARDCORE! hXc=terrible. I want real breakdowns, not fake "omfgletsseehowmanyrandomnotesicanhit" or "imsqualinglikeswine" crap.
All that Remains, KSE, Pantera, Judas Priest, and the like are good.
10 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoWhat are some good hairstyles for chin length pseudo-scene hair?
My hair is platinum blond and a little longer than chin length in places. I'm growing it out but could really do for a trim and a new style. I'd also like some low lights. I'm going to the stylist Saturday and I don't like showing up without at least the faintest idea of what I'm looking for. Any suggestions aside from an inverted bob (that's prett much how it is now)? I'm looking for pseudo-scene/edgy styles. Pictures get best answer. thank you in advance.
4 AnswersHair1 decade agoDoes anyone have any good essay suggestions for "The Sound and the Fury"?
If you've ever read Faulkner, you know that it's littered with underlying meaning. I need help finding some of this from the Sound and the Fury. I have a paper due in a week or so and just need a little help with the thesis. I understand the disillusion and collapse of the southern family idea and the concept of Dilsey representing continuity within the family, I just need something that I can write about and support with critical references for 6 pages. Help anyone? Please?
