What is the best type of alarm to go with for.....?
A rear hatch. I have recently put a very large setup in the back of my Porsche 944. Not only are the hatch glass pieces worth my first born to replace, but it would be a royal pain in my *** if it got broke. What is the best type of alarm to install to keep potential thieves away?
I've considered a proximity alarm? It would be nice to have something to tell people to step away. Also something sensitive that can be set off easily of someone tries to pry on it, hits it, etc... I'm not a pro with alarms so I figured I'd seek out some advice.
Anyone have suggestions on a good brand, type, and setup for an alarm? The hatches are held in by 2 clip devices, 1 on each side of the hatch. Seals nice and tight. Can't imagine a way to pop them without breaking the glass.
Neelster - not worried about someone stealing the car, but more the audio system. Hope that helps.

No one's really going to steal a porsche 944. Just put an ordinary security system in there.
