I'm not sure what you want to feel or think you need to feel to be sure you are pregnant. Two HPT came back positive, you've missed your period by almost two weeks - what more do you want at this early stage of pregnancy?

Every woman is different - I have three kids and I had no symptoms except a missed period. My only other symptom didn't come until about 5 weeks and that was very mild nausea in the evenings when I tried to cook raw meat. Even that only lasted a couple of weeks.

I believe you are pregnant - get to a doc ASAP to start your prenatal care.

    Congrats!

I'm in the same situation. I haven't had my period for more than a month though. I just recently took two pregnancy tests, and they both said positive. I don't feel pregnant, but I know that it's very uncommon for a pregnancy test to come up as a false positive. The hormone detected by an at-home pregnancy test is only given off by pregnancy, unless you have pee'd in a cup first and the cup had some reminence of soap or detergent (the soap could alter the results). But still, if you took a test and it came out positive, I am almost definite that you are pregnant. A lot of mothers (mainly first-time mothers) don't feel pregnant until their belly starts growing and the baby starts kicking. It'll all sink in over time and I think it's time to go to a doctor for health and confirmation reasons. Good luck. xoxo

Two positive home pregnancy tests mean you are most likely to be pregnant, especially if you haven't started your period by now. Don't worry about not feeling pregnant, that's no indication as you're not likely to feel pregnant or even know what it feels like to BE pregnant yet at this stage. What was the blood test for? Did you get it done AFTER you got two positive home pregnancy tests? If so, then the doctor who ordered the test should have explained everything to you. Both urine and blood hcg tests can return false negatives as well as false positives, so either the urine tests were wrong, or the blood test was wrong (either is possible). It is possible to get positive results from urine pregnancy tests, and a negative blood test and STILL be pregnant, so if your period is still late, and you're still testing positive on pee stick tests, organise another blood test, or see if you can get a transvaginal ultrasound to look for a sac. The other alternative is that you have a "chemical" pregnancy, which means you conceived, your HCG levels were high enough for a urine test to show positive, but you had a blighted ovum or you are about to miscarry and your levels had dropped commensurate with this by the time you had your blood test done.

    First, take a deep breath.

At this point, I would urge you to go to a doctor. That will be the best way to answer this question. By having a doctor confirm one way or another, this will at least remove this obstacle for you. If you are not(pregnant), consider yourself lucky. (Not that children aren't wonderful, from your post, I assume this is not something you have planned right now). While abstinence is the only sure way not to get pregnant, your next best option is to make sure you use a condom from here on out! You are important and deserve to take care of yourself.

If you are pregnant, at least you will have gone to the doctor and have started out on the right foot.

Next you will have some tough decisions to make. You will need to get advice and information on all of your options. I hope you have a parent or another older adult you can go to for support. There are many places you can go to get advice. While Planned Parenthood gets a bad rap sometimes, it is a place you can go for affordable health care that is handled with professionalism and discretion (Like all doctors should!) no matter how you choose to proceed. They will not try to push you in any particular direction.

If you choose to keep the baby, you will need to go on prenatal vitamins and make sure you get regular doctor visits to make sure you are on track for a healthy baby. You will also need to come up with some plans on your future (and your new baby's!) The same, if you choose to go the adoption route. There are many wonderful people who would make wonderful parents. If you are considering an abortion, you will need to check with a doctor to see what your options are there. Being under 18, your parents are still responsible for you unless you are emancipated.

Whatever you choose, I urge you to talk with a parent or adult family member and to not go through this alone.

I am sending good vibes your way. I hope this situation works out for you.

You don't "feel" pregnant? You've never been pregnant before, have you? So it would be hard to guess by the "feeling."

Two positive tests is definitely a good reason to go to a doctor or a clinic and get a definitive answer.

Two positive tests...YOU ARE PREGNANT. You should start taking prenatal vitamins immediately and call Monday and make a doctors appt. Best of luck.

False positives only happen if you've recently given birth, recently had an abortion or miscarriage, are taking hormone supplements to get pregnant or are hoping so hard to get pregnant that your body begins to produce the pregnancy hormone. So, if none of these applies to you, you are most likely pregnant. See your gyno.
