Why does the cheatee always get more mad at the person their mate is cheating on than the mate who cheated?

Yeah I have often thought about that too. Mainly becase the person with whom the person is cheating with is usually an unwitting participant in the infidelity. I imagine its just jealousy, but surely that shouldnt override your sheer disgust and anger at your partner for having cheated. I wil be interested to see what others say.

It baffles me when women say "you stay away from my man, he's mine" and i'm thinking well clearly he is a worthless douchebag not worth wanting...why blame the third person when you should be looking towards what your partner did because it is them that has betrayed you, lied to you, disrespected you and so on.

The proverbial "wake up and smell the coffee" comes to mind.

Because they love the person that has cheated and they dont lke to think its their fault - they want to think that the person they love has bee mislead by the person they cheated with. Its all about them wating to trust the person they love
