I'd say neither. At least not in the sense that most people would define the word "psychopath". After all, this country was founded on a bloody revolt, and the way our history is presented tends to glorify the "little guy" waging a righteous battle against an allegedly arrogant "elite".
Killing people that disagree with you is, in nearly every imaginable circumstance*, wrong. It is, nevertheless, no more *irrational* than evading taxes; if you can do it and get away with it, it makes sense. If you can arrange things in such a way that the only people around are the ones who agree with you, then the world is going to work pretty much the way you want it to.
Such thinking is evil, and *irrational* from an internal point of view, since it is contrary to the end towards which the human person is designed. But thinking which produces that result is nothing uncommon, and we don't typically call a person crazy because of it.
From an *external* point of view, violence is perfectly rational, as long as you have the might needed to carry your violence through to conclusion. In reality, the only thing genuinely *crazy* about these guys is that they seem to have some hope of success. In terms of "fight or flight", that's just stupid, rather like a cricket trying to take on a tarantula. It would be especially stupid if the tarantula was on the verge of natural death anyway. Once it did, the cricket could take its chances with the other crickets. Pax!
* Once exception I can think of would be if someone were to disagree with my judgment that I am currently alive, and attempted to make reality conform to their opinion.

It's about time that wingnuts start acting like adults and take responsibility for their actions, rather than blaming Obama, Congress, liberals, or God.

Pushed to far by Obama? LOL. I hope they use that as their defense. The judge will be laughing the entire time. They are obvious militant, extremists, terrorists.

Psychos.
Anyone who has been pushed so far by the ordinary political process, that they are going to kill people, are just plain old nut jobs

what, if anything, is the difference between a christian conservative and a psychopath?

Nah, they were just stupid and let some FBI informant talk them into attacking police.

So by pushed too far, you mean they aren't responsible for their actions.
