Would your childhood self be happy with how you live now? Are you still that person but older and wiser?

Or have you changed to conform to what you think people expect of you? Did you give up on your dreams and hobbies to be more practical? Think back to when you were a kid and how you thought and what you liked. Are you still you?

Update:

Also, have you changed how you thought of God if you ever thought of God as a kid? If so do you think the knew way of looking at God is better?

God was always a nonissue for me. I wasn't brought up with religion (though I went to Brownies in a Christian church and went to a Catholic high school). It was never for me.

My childhood self would be hella dissapointed. I think that's something that we could probably all say. We become older, practical and doe-eyed optimism and dreams go out the window in the favour of practicality and bill-paying. There's only a few of us who truly reach for the stars.

No doubt my childhood self would be happy with I am now.

No, I'm quite a different person. Less shy, less aggressive, less immature, less vindictive, less pessimistic/cynical.

My childhood dreams have changed a bit, but it has nothing to do with practicality (as a kid I was interested in eventually joining the Navy or Air Force - both goals which are well within my grasps were I to pursue them again). I guess I just lost interest in them over time.

other than my eating habits and my religious beliefs, I feel like I've changed a lot. my thinking is way more complex and mature, of course.

I do sometimes wish I were like a child. because I feel like children could care less what anyone thinks of them, and all they know is how to be themselves. but as you grow up, you are brainwashed into thinking that you have to be a certain way to be accepted by society, which is really sad. I wish I were more like a child in that sense.

In terms of religion and what i've accomplished he would be happy. He would be disspointed that i've lost the confidence I once had.
