Do you think the Rams releasing Bulger was a smart move?

If the Rams take Sam Bradford as their first pick in the draft, who's he going have for his developmental Guru QB ? AJ Feeley ? Bradford should be carrying a clipboard behind someone this year, but doing it behind a QB with 23 games lifetime may not do it.

Yes it was a smart move. This moves basically foreshadowing Sam Bradford as their first round pick. But A.J. Feeley has been a back up to alot of great to good quarterbacks in the league. He helped Kevin Kolb in Philly who will now be a starter and who has shown promise in his relief time. I think the Rams should at least start the year with Feeley who will ease Bradford into the league, but Bradford needs to see what the league is all about. Some early reps will be better for him than just sitting with a clip board.

Brady Quinn is an example, he held a clip board for how many years and he now looks behind form where he was senior year at Notre Dame. Keep Bradford fresh and let him compete for the start. He's a mature kid, someone who eventually could be a quaterback like Matt Ryan. If the Rams play him his rookie year, he'll be able to handle it better than most.

  • Well they signed AJ Feeley who knows their system well so they really didn't need him. I think AJ Feeley will be the bridge to Bradford for a few games. I expect Feeley to start half the season and then once the Rams are out of playoff consideration, they will start Bradford. I think they will take a page of when McNabb was a rookie and they started Doug Peterson the first 5 games of the season.

He was eating too much of their salary cap, and needed to go. Time to make room for the future. And not every rookie QB needs veteran guidance, that's what coaches are for.

bulger should have been released 3 years ago, he was on borrowed time....

I think they should go with a sure pick like gerald mccoy or Suh.....they will regret reaching for a qb
