Why do feminist's try to lay claim to the hard work done by Suffragettes?

I don't, since I wasn't even alive then.

Feminism is the advocacy of econonomic, political, and cultural equality of the sexes.

Women's suffrage was one front of that philosphy, which is still alive today.

If you knew anything about history, you'd know the term "feminist" hadn't even been coined when women's suffrage was an issue- that doesn't change it's definition.

while they were not really involved in it, Suffragettes did contribute to women's rights slightly. So historically they can claim it because no one actually cares, like what was the cause of the civil war everyone says slaves and if you try to correct them they stare at you blankly.

It am becuzes we am taking credits for thems hard work. We am hoping that most peeples am ignorant of history so we can trick them/lie about work they did, claiming it as our own. Teh wondyful suffraguts were for real equalities while we feministicals am only seeking preferential treetments, but if peeples confuse both causes - them assume we too are for equalities rather than beneficial treements.

And if we am lying, it am surely the faulted of teh evul menz. Us womyn am HOOMAN.
