my 2001 ford taurus keeps throwing a code for cylinder 1, just did a plug change a month ago....?

Update:

car has no pick up...and rpm's reach between 3 and 4 before gears switch. Had trans checked, that wasnt the issue? Trans shop said it was exhaust related...muffler shop said exhaust is fine?

Try to find a spark plug as close to what was stock when the car was manufactured. Copper vs Platinum etc... Don't matter, get what was in your car to begin with.

    Also, change the wire.

And change all spark plugs, not just one.
