What are the effects of being in God's image for us?

Some effects are that we:

I too believe that God is in us all and with it a power that is often not recognized. I do base this on the religious education I received growing up, although I also see the Bible as inspired writing and not to be taken literally. But there is need for caution here. It is one thing to believe we have God's power within us, and another to come to believe we are God. This latter has been the cause of many a religious leader (or a Charles Manson) to destroy rather than build. I don't think anyone can predict an exact time that events will take place no matter how gifted they may be. How often over the years has the end of the world been predicted - and not taken place? My own conviction that God is within all has come about through the realization that friends of mine, though claiming to be atheists, have demonstrated frequently that they are capable of the type of self sacrifice and kindness that comes from love and where there is love, there is God. There are however people who hate and I have difficulty in finding where God is within such people - but I believe He is still present but hidden in such people. I also agree that it is up to us to make what changes we believe should be made to improve the world near or far.

The effects are that if we allow ourselves to be more like God, then we reflect God more. Being in God's image includes caring about those outcasts in the world. It means caring about those who cannot help themselves and have nowhere to turn. It includes reaching out to people in need that everyone has grown so used to seeing they simply are immune to it. To sum up everything, it's allowing God's love to be shown through us. That includes so many different things. Those idiots protesting and condemning the world, they're not showing God's love so they're acting in His image.

We were CREATED in God's image. We ceased being in God's image with the transgressions of Adam and Eve. Part of our punishment is our body of flesh.

The effects of being "made" in God's image is being able to worship him. This is a choice we have. Mankind has a need to worship. Everyone does, whether they admit that or not. It could be money, their job, sex, entertainment or themselves! They can also choose to worship their Grand Creator of all good things he created on earth. Animals are wonderful creatures that display some nice qualities but they are not capable of loving and understanding love like humans. In addition, animals have no desire to worship.

In simple terms: God is love and we can try to imitate his love but we are imperfect.

Then god is one ugly mother ******. Really? god? since the beginning of time if an answer wasn't present, man made one, that doesn't mean the answer is right, what makes this religion so special? It'll be taught in the futures mythology class.

We know that we are a reflection (VERY SMALL REFLECTION) of God, when we are able to love Him. Through this love, we are able to worship and praise Him. We are able to love other people and we are able to give edification to one another.

We are the image of God, when we (By His grace) obey His commandments. As we develop Godly virtues/character, and spend more time in His presence we become more like Him.

We are capable of receiving the Spirit or presence of God called becoming a child of God and making us like God specifically in our capacity to love unconditionally.

GOD is the CREATOR of everything and created man in his form. God is the cause of the wind and He is the cause of fire. He can make things dissappear and reappear right in front of your eyes. He likes levitating things, He gives gifts to people to create computers, play music and think up new ideas. Next time you go to a music concert, thank GOD for possessing their souls in order to create beautiful music. With God, anything is possible.

Good proof of this is magic by magicians. God is the REAL REASON why these things disappear when a magician performs a magic trick. When you see a magician sawing a women in half and putting her back together, thank GOD putting her back together when she died.
