PVC adaptors that fit 2 liter soda bottles?

I am looking for PVC female adaptors that will fit a 2 liter bottle threading and that do not require alterations to either the adaptor or the bottle

Update:

***edit: even a 2 liter bottle to brass fitting to pvc fitting...any combination is suitable, ideally without needing to modify due to lack of proper tools and potential for connection failure

Well, now you've got me thinkin! What interesting creation are you trying to make?

Since a pop bottle is a straight thread, i'm wondering if a garden hose connector or maybe a fitting to connect the water to a toilet fill valve? maybe if you took the bottle cap it would fit inside a standard glue on fitting and you could glue it in and then drill out the center. I guess now I'll have to go out to the garage and find out.

Not 100% positive but they should be the same as a garden hose thread (GHT) which is 3/4 x 11 1/2 tpi. Best way to check is take the top off a bottle and screw it to a hose and see how they fit. We actually make a drain that uses a garden hose thread and a 2 liter plastic bottle cap fits it nicely.

Even though plastic is super cheap to manufacture, probably just to save money. I remember those. It was sort of like a cup to set the bottle in. Isn't it funny how a 2 liter costs around a $1.20 and so does a single serving of soda (20 ounce). Less plastic, same price.

well there in itself lies a problem. threads on a 2 liter bottle are not ips nominal threads. a 3/4 pvs ftg is too small and barely will fit. a 1in pvc fitting is just way to big. you will need to make alterations of some sort if you intend to use nominal ips threaded fittings. best luck

Do a search for the MegaBOOM STS. SportsmansGuide sells them and are currently on sale 3/18/2015 for $20. Your question came up in my search for something even cheaper to make 15 to 20 units.

I have been looking for the same thing and have even considering having them made but the cost is prohibitive. Wonder if there is a market besides you and me?

Make your OWN very simple ( I would drill AFTER fusing cars together)
