How do you prevent plants from going to shock?

I just transplanted my plants into a bigger container and I know there is a good chance that they will go into shock. I was wondering if there is anyway to prevent this. I have read to not give them light for the first 6 hours after transplanting then gradually turning the light on. Then I read to make sure that they are watered a lot. I was just wondering is these things are true and if there is any product that I can get to make sure that they don't go into shock.

Vitamin B sold at garden stores and the garden section of hardware stores is a preventative... keep in mind over watering is the one of the worse things you can do do a transplanted plant.

It has been proven time after time that the myth about vitamin B-1 preventing transplant shock is just that, a myth. One of the auxin's such as indole butyric acid or naphthylacetic acid will promote root growth at the expense of crown growth but needs to be applied several days prior to transplanting. For your recent transplants adequate water is crucial for new root development, so water frequently, mulch to slow down evaporation and provide some shade for the first few days. While you can reduce the possibilities that a plant will go into shock by keeping as big a root ball as you can, not disturbing roots, and keeping it moist and shaded, the only way to absolutely guarantee it won't happen is to not disturb it at all.

A tree's roots and crown improve in relationship to one yet another. A tree does no longer deplete a considerable number of ability starting to be a root device way too large for the crown nor can an fantastically tremendous crown be supported by using a root device that is too small. once you transplant a tree, you're reducing the basis device. The tree is going into what we call transplant wonder. quite, we are those a great deal a great deal surprised by using the shortcoming of outward boom we see after transplanting. The tree is merely holding ability. it received't enhance the crown again till the basis device will be repaired and grows large sufficient to help the present sized crown. At that element the tree will resume primary crown and root enlargement. So how do you decrease transplant wonder? Transplant as many of the basis device as you could. look after the transplanted roots from more desirable damage in the course of the transplanting procedure. this suggests wrapping the basis ball so as many of the soil continues to be intact as achieveable. do no longer raise the tree by using the trunk. do no longer pull or push on the trunk to flow or reposition the tree. Push/pull/raise the basis ball. do no longer drop the basis ball. This one might want to be obvious, yet you should be a great deal surprised by using how oftentimes I see this even from self proclaimed experts. ideal transplant the tree. This contains ideal hollow length, planting on the right intensity, backfilling with the community soil, eliminating the proper 0.33 of the burlap, eliminating the string from the trunk, and eliminating the perimeters from the twine basket, if one develop into used. ideal safeguard the tree after tranplanting to encourgae the fastest restore achieveable. you'll by no ability get rid of transplant wonder as there'll continuously be root damage. yet there are things you could do to diminish this era.

The leaves will dry up but the plant will survive.
