Is it okay to install Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 on Intel Celeron 1.86GHz CPU laptop?

I have an Acer Aspire laptop with Intel Celeron 1.86GHz CPU that has 80GB HDD and 512MB RAM. Is it okay to install Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 as the operating system?

    I recommend Linux, because it freezes less and is more responsive here is my computer's specs

    Athlon X2 dual core processor 450e 2.10ghz Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 3.00gbs of memory for 32bit if your getting 64bit I reccomend higher class proccessor

  • no the cpu is probably too slow and vista uses atleast 1 gig of ram

    NO!..... vista uses way too many resources for that computer....... my recomendation get a version of linux!
