Questions for Muslims about terrorists?

I guess my problem is that I hear about suicide bombers over in Iraq and Afghanistan almost every day. I wonder why the other Muslims don't turn them in. Others have to know what they're doing or planning. Why don't the good Muslims rise up and kick the b__'s out. Are the good Muslims afraid of the terrorists? Is there some cultural taboo that's keeping them from turning the bombers in before they actually do it? Do the good Muslims not turn in the terrorists because they hate Americans and the American troops over there? Do the troops offend them somehow? Anything Americans could do to make things better?

Well muslims are split into three parts the fanatics, peaceful (I don't know the actual name) and another one which I can't remeber. Now the fanatics which is the terrorist group (not saying all fanatic muslims are terrorist please don;t take offence) want to destory another muslim group to what I understand. So thats why they are bombing the other muslims. They have been brainwashed to think that once that they have done something victorious or good thing for Allah they will go to heaven and so thats why everthinig is so bizarre in the Middle East. Well I not quite sure how the US can help, only to help and is make them help themselves. Because in the end no one can help you part from yourself.

Firstly, in Iraq suicide bombings are most frequently directed against other Muslims, not against Americans. The invasion of 2003 lifted the lid on a whole simmering pot of steaming **** between Sunni and Shi'a Muslims going back 1300 years. Rather ineffectual attempts by America and the Iraqi government to cram the lid back on that bubbling pot are not looking very hopeful.

Secondly, in Afghanistan the situation is very complex. This is a nation which, by all possible historical and geographical standards, ought not to exist. There are four or five separate wars going on, with the Americans appearing to be just another invading army entering the fray. Of course, when they start bombing wedding parties and killing women and children (oops!) it doesn't do their image much good. There is no good solution for Afghanistan. The country is comprehensively ****** four or five times over. The best thing you Americans can do is get out and never, ever come back.

Why don't the good Muslims rise up and kick the b__'s out.

A lot of good Germans in Nazi Germany didn't exactly kick the (small) number of Nazi's out ... it's an example of various group-think phenomena in our species and our ability to just accept situations as they are, rather than be proactive about change ...

One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.

Especially someone from a country that had the "Boston tea party" and fought a war against the government and ruler of the British, North-American colonies should be aware of that fact.

I think they do turn them in in some cases, but would you turn in a gang of thugs if they threatened to kill you and the only savior from them was an incompetent army that couldn't finish this war up 5 years ago.......

Join any group and you are automatically divided into "us" and "them." "Us" will generally protect their own even if they are the rotten apples in the barrel. This is what separates those wearing a man made label and those who keep the label they were born with which said, "Made be God."
