Did I sprain my knee?
So, in gym class today we were playing indoor softball, and I was running for home plate, and I didn't stop in time and I smashed my knee into the wall then landed on it, in a bent position. Haha, that was sort of embarrassing! But, anyways, I couldn't unbend it at first, but then after a minute I was able to unbend it. That was in the beginning of the day. I got through the school day ok, I was limping, but, it wasn't that bad. It started to hurt more at the end of the day, and now it is sort of swollen. I can put some weight on it but for some reason I feel like it's sort of getting worse. But the thing that hurts most is when I have to actually lift my leg, like to go up stairs, or sit down, or stand up. Bending it is ok, it hurts a little, but not as much as when I raise my leg up. I can bend it but not that far. I don't really think I have to worry about it, it'll probably heal in a couple days or so, but I just wanted to be sure!

It sounds like you are in alot of pain and I'm sorry for your injury. Could you please address these questions as they may help to figure this out. Is there any swelling, warmth, abnormalities? Could you also explain a little more on your leg getting "stuck"? Reasoning for that is sometimes you can dislocate your patella. Did you notice any weird bulge or lack of at that time? There is also the thought of meniscus tear.
Your best bet is to go to a Sports Med Clinic and have a certified Dr. or Physical Therapist look at it. Until then follow R.I.C.E. (R-Rest I-Ice C-Compression E-Elevation). A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Ibuprofen may also help with the pain. Good luck and I strongly suggest not running into anymore walls. :) Keep your head up and be aware of how your knee is feeling. It will be better soon.

Are you within the playoffs? Cause if you're you would desire to wrap up your knee and simply attempt to play two. How dangerous is it sprained? If it is only a very moderate sprain, sitting at dwelling may not do you any well. three. Can your group cross it with out you? You instructed us your group is doing fairly well. So they will regularly be okay with out you for a sport or so. If you make a decision to not play, you must nonetheless cross and watch along with your group jersey on even though, that is what I did. I wish your knee will get higher.
