Would a ATI radeon HD 4350 1gig video card be good for gaming?

I currently have a ATI radeon HD 4350 512mb video card and can run most games well but I can't run gta 4 well enough to be enjoyable. Would upgrading to 1gig be profitable for me?

I am currently running a gateway machine with windows 7 64bit

6gigs of ram and a intel quad core processor.

This guy has almost 2 gigs in his and it still looks like crap.

You should upgrade to any of the cards that have 57xx or 58xx in them from ATI

The 4350 is a economic, low end, low-power ATi video card. The only things you can do to increase performance is to download new drivers each month, manually tweak settings in ATi Catalyst, like turning off antialiasing, and carefully overclocking it (if enabled), then tweaking and testing settings in games. In some it's better to run at 800x600 but with max shader. Upgrading your CPU and RAM will barely improve things for most games. First check if your motherboard lets you overclock your Pentium Dual Core.

    No, no, no.

It's a common misperception that more video RAM means a better video card. This is NOT true. In fact, you'd likely see NO performance increase at all.

That video card is entry level. You should upgrade to a better video card, like a 4800 series. That should make your computer FAR better for gaming.

No better, I would look at ATI Radeon in the 5 serials. New technology and better directx support to play your games.
