Can you use PC hardware on a Mac computer?
I'm considering replacing my pc with a mac. I got a chance to spend a little time, for the first time, using a Mac. Something that I wasn't real pleased about were the mouse and keyboard. The mouse doesn't have any 'physical click' buttons, just a smooth surface that is tapped and the hard push on the keys of the keyboard was uncomfortable. I have also seen, but not used, the flat surface 'image of a keyboard ' with touch sensitive keys and I don't like that much either. Can I use other company key boards etc. with the Mac? Maybe a better question would be: Are there more options from Apple for these items? I like the buttons' touch or click and I alike the soft touch of a pc keyboard. I don't want to trade one set of undesirable traits that I find with PCs for another set found with the Mac. Some feedback please. Thank you ahead of time.

Any USB keyboard and mouse will work on a Mac. Most wireless keyboards & mice will work on a Mac. I have used Dell keyboards and mice with no problems. I'd suggest going in to an Apple store and try the various keyboards they have (there are several). They also sell 3rd party keyboards and mice. The new Magic Mouse is very nice, the extended length Apple keyboard is user friendly also. You can with the Mini-Mac use most Windows keyboards & monitors.

the are a number of mac keyboards available if you dont like one then just ask in store.
however the mouse are all the same although trust me thats quickly got used to.
however i would recommend having a second thought and looking at windows PC equivilants the are literally no advantages in getting a mac now. mac's cost more, they are currently more laggy than windows 7 based computers because mac has made all their OS 64 bit now and the are a load of compatibility issues.
the virus protection is feeble and so many people have bought them people have been making virus's for them so unlike their advert YES MACS GET VIRUS'S AND CAN BE HACKED yes its built on better security than windows 7 but this is a dull point the are virus's out there and so it is impossible to guarantee you will not get one and because they are harder to make you tend to find they are made by the better of the software writers so...
however the is one mac i would suggest. wither the macbook if you dont want to dish out too much or the macbook pro that i would highly suggest if your really up for getting a mac. (the mac os and applications arent exactly processor intensive me and my mate compiled a iphone application on his macbook pro and it did it fine with no lagg long story short unless your compiling loads of stuuf you DO NOT need a i7 core processor in a fricking mac.
why are macbook pro's amazing and deserve lots of praise you ask?
10 HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE admittadly still only directx 10 graphics but good luck playing lots on it my mate can run left 4 dead that about the best graphics engine you'll get running out of the narrow array of games available for a big brown lump of, i mean a mac.
plus the simple things in a mac are easy but not plentyfull like on a windows based computer, whereas the complicated things take alot of computer nohow to do and if you have that computer nohow you can do it on a windows based pc anyway.
the best things about computers involve utorrent and pirate bay anyway and that works on both mac and windows 7 so yay smiles :)

DON'T BE CRAZY!
Stick with your PC. A Mac will cause you no end of trouble; it's totally incompatible with everything NOT MAC :|
