Question for ER doctors?
I want to become a doctor one day (hopefully). I just have a few questions. Do doctors that work in the ER ever have time for their family? Do you spend quality time with your family and friends or are you almost always at the hospital? And, do hospitals really call you in the middle of the night sometimes?

Well it depends if you managed your time correctly. Usually min is a 12 hour shift. They would only call on you if your on call or if they really need your help and short staffed.
