Movies that give you a headache and make you feel uncomfortable?
What movies make you feel this way when you watch them (and I mean alone)?
I couldn't even make it through all of Party Monster because it was so unusual to me that I got really uncomfortable. That movie didn't seem like reality to me. It's like when I'm watching it I get this sense that if I lived in that Party Monster movie world then I couldn't stand it and I'd rather die than live in it because it just makes me so uncomfortable and it's so unbearable to me.
It's those really trippy, psychedelic, weird, all around strange and unusual films.
Examples: Party Monster, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Greg Araki's Nowhere, Fight Club (haven't seen the whole movie though), etc.
Does anybody else have these feelings to some movies or do I just have enzymes?

I've never been able to watch Clockwork Orange it is just too creepy. I can't even make it past the rape scene. Movies that have rape scenes in general are uncomfortable for me because I'm a rape survivor.
I tried to watch a John Woo film once and had to turn it off because I found the violence too much. I tend to avoid watching Terantino films because of he violence as well.
Other films that I found very disturbing include Eraserhead, Boys Don't Cry, Francis, Julia, and Casino.

EVERYONE has enzymes. If you didn't you wouldn't have proteins and thus life itself could not be.
Everyone gets upset at some movies. As we see more and more movies we get "desensitized".
After I was shot I couldn't stand seeing a gun on TV for the longest time. But I got over that to some extent. Now seeing guns merely brings on other psychological symptoms, as my body tries to rid itself of the pavlovian response related release of hormones such as Adrenalin and the free radicals created by those harsh chemicals, their formation and re-absorbtion (sic) once the fight or flight response is triggered.
If you've got a problem with certain movies it's possible that you also have had some sort of PTSD.
While this can be treated with other harsh chemicals by a "qackafied" psychiatric physician, you might at first merely stop watching movies that disturb you.

I've never had a real physical reaction to a film, as you describe, but some movies can alter your reality, at least for a short time. Apocalypse Now did that to me upon its initial release in '79 -- but so did Raging Bull and The Empire Strikes Back.
Eraserhead is kinda hard to watch, for reasons similar to what you describe.

i do no longer hate 3-D video clips except they have been MADE for 3-D relatively. video clips like Up and Toy tale 3 are high quality cinema, and could be enjoyed even once you're staring at them on an relatively small television. Avatar, on the different hand...i won't be able to think of staring at that on a tiny B&W television, it in basic terms does not be properly worth it. yet nonetheless, a minimum of viewing it on Blu-Ray is sufficient. it extremely is a worth action picture to computer screen with or devoid of three-D, even nevertheless it almost loses its objective. Now, the final public of flicks interior the final 12 months and-a-a million/2 have been made for 3-D. That i won't stand. It disgusts me that folk think of this "third length"-al ingredient provides to the experience. It makes my sinuses injury and provides me a throbbing headache. Plus the glasses are heavy and uncomfortable, and that i compulsively decrease them each and every minute or so in basic terms to alleviate my eyes and notice what the action picture sounds like devoid of them. and you do no longer possibly be conscious the three-D effect after the 1st act of the action picture in many situations. I do wish this might end quickly, like the Twilight craze. WHAT HAS HUMANITY COME TO? it extremely is why i admire INCEPTION. No 3-D, yet we nonetheless get IMAX!

Hmm...I don't usually feel like that. There's something about that quality in movies that makes me like them more. I think, in some way, I can relate to it.
